Justice can be a lonely thing. Especially when one man constantly has to fight off ten as we saw in the first movie Walking Tall. But that was a great ending, wasn’t it? Unfortunately, this movie never matches that despite the fact that it takes several shots at it. Sure, there were some nice shooting scenes and a few chases – and don’t forget the kid hostage stuff – but none of it ever really did this movie justice. I give it two twizzlers.
Poor Denzel. There’s a ferry bombing and he’s been there before. He thinks something is up and investigates as this thriller takes him on a rollercoaster ride of hints, clues and side stories that eventually tie together- but not before you see some cool explosions and get to guess a lot. If you like thrillers and action films, you’ll love this one. If you just like Denzel, go for it. I give it four twizzlers.
Kevin Costner trains cocky Ashton Kutcher at a coast guard training school, teaching him more than just search and rescue skills. I’ve heard this movie compared to An Officer and A Gentleman, but it doesn’t have the love interest or appeal of that film. However, it is a solid movie that has action scenes and develops characters enough to get the viewer involved. As long as you’re not expecting a classic, you’ll be satisfied. I give it three twizzlers.
